Got a tween who’s as obsessed with the Wizarding World as my son and I are? You have to check out our all-time favorite Harry Potter merchandise! Just in case you’re wondering, I didn’t include the books or movies on this list because I’m assuming every Harry Potter fan already has the entire collection in at least one format, if not more. I also decided to stick to Harry Potter merchandise vs books. If you’re looking for those, check out 20 Harry Potter Books Every True Fan Should Own.

Harry Potter Games
Whether it’s a Harry Potter edition of one of our favorite classic board games, or a whole new game designed just for the movie, family game night is more fun when it’s Potter-themed! Oddly, there doesn’t seem to be an official Harry Potter Monopoly edition yet, but here are some other great options.
1. Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit
If your tween spends hours pouring over Harry Potter trivia, you’ll love the USAopoly TRIVIAL PURSUIT: World of Harry Potter Edition. The game comes with 600 cards filled with all sorts of fun questions about the Wizarding World. It doesn’t come with a game board, but it does have its own die. We have a ton of other Trivial Pursuit games, so we just use a game board from one of those. The instructions also give you ideas on how to play with just the cards, making it the perfect road trip game!
2. Harry Potter Clue
As far as special edition Clue games go, I’ve never really been impressed. Most of them are just the same game with different character names. Harry Potter Clue is different. USAopoly really went all out, creating moving parts and secret passages to go along with the intriguing plot. All of the pieces (and there are quite a few!) are gorgeously designed and really add to the whole magical feel.
3. USAopoly Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle
While many of the HP games are special editions of classics, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle is different. The cooperative deck building game is kind of reminiscent of Magic: The Gathering. I never played that game, but my brother was obsessed. We recently came across a binder of his Magic cards. The Hogwarts Battle set includes: 252 cards, 4 dice, 7 game boxes, 7 game rules, 4 player boards, 8 villain control tokens, and 70 chip pieces. There are other expansion packs, or you can play against other players and win cards from them to expand your deck.
4. Pictopia: Harry Potter Edition
Pictopia: Harry Potter Edition is a fun picture trivia game that’s always a hit on family game night. Play against each other to race to the finish line, or work together to answer group questions. There are even fun spotlight questions where you’ll need to know your opponent to answer correctly. This is a great game for Harry Potter trivia fans who do better with visuals, versus just reading questions.
5. Harry Potter Chess
If chess is your game, you’ll find plenty of Harry Potter versions out there. If you want one that’s officially authorized by Warner Brothers, you’ll need The Noble Collection Wizard Chess. Barnes & Noble usually has it in stock for about $45. I’m telling you that because I’ve seen it on other sites for $55-100+ by 3rd party sellers. Don’t pay more than $45 for it, especially considering the pieces are made of plastic.
If you want a Harry Potter chess set that’s collector-quality, I recommend this one from BoxLunch. It’s quite a bit more, so it’s really only appropriate for those who REALLY love Harry Potter AND chess, but the entire thing is made of high-quality materials.
Harry Potter Clothing
Whether it’s a cozy sweatshirt, a pair of Dobby socks, or a Harry Potter ugly Christmas sweater, every true fan needs at least one piece of Harry Potter clothing in their wardrobes! Here are my top picks!
6. This awesome Harry Potter Sweatshirt
BoxLunch has some really awesome exclusive Harry Potter sweatshirts that are perfect for tweens and teens. While they have a House Jersey for each house, I love the Gryffindor one the best, of course. The unisex sweatshirts come in sizes from XS to XL, and they’re made of a machine-washable cotton/poly blend.
7. Harry Potter Christmas sweater
No one does ugly Christmas sweaters better than Molly Weasley! This Prime Tees Harry Christmas Potter Ugly Christmas Sweater would do Molly proud! Of all the choices, it’s definitely the loudest and most fun! Although it’s technically just a long-sleeve shirt versus an actual sweater. I don’t mind that because it’s more budget-friendly, and my son really doesn’t wear sweaters often. It comes in sizes from small all the way to XX-Large.
If you’re looking for an actual sweater, this one is pretty spectacular! It’s not quite as busy as the Prime Tees one, but it’s still fairly ugly…in a totally good way!
8. Dobby Harry Potter Socks
There are a ton of “Dobby is a Free House Elf” type Harry Potter socks, but I love this collection the most. It comes with 5 different fun pairs of ankle socks. I have to admit, the “Dobby will always be there for Harry Potter” brought tears to my eyes. Of all the deaths in the books, Dobby’s affected my son the most. I can’t even mention his name without both of us tearing up a bit.
9. Marauders Map Beanie
Keep your favorite Harry Potter fan warm during the winter with a fun Marauders Map beanie! The rim features the quote from the map, “I solemnly swear I am up to no good,” while the shell has a printed graphic of the map itself.
10. Hogwarts Crest Lounge Pants
Although these Hogwarts Crest pajama pants say that they’re for guys, I think they are perfect for boys and girls. Just keep in mind that they’re listed in men’s sizes. Don’t worry, though, they have a drawstring so you can adjust them to fit better if needed. Don’t they look comfy? Perfect for lounging around watching all of the Harry Potter movies in order, or for studying for that Potions quiz!
Harry Potter Bags, Purses & Wallets
Send tweens back to school in style with these fun Harry Potter bags, purses, wallets, and such! I want them all!
11. Harry Potter Hedwig Drawstring Backpack
Oh, Hedwig! I think I cried almost as hard when she died as I did when Dobby met his fatal end. Celebrate your love of all things snowy owl with this gorgeous Hedwig Drawstring Backpack. It features a front zip pocket, two side pockets, and a golden Hogwarts letter charm.
12. Vintage Crossbody Bag
How much do you love this Harry Potter vintage crossbody bag? The trunk-style design is perfect for tweens who want something a little different than the typical handbag. The straps are removable, and the inside is roomy enough for all your Hogwarts essentials.
13. Hogwarts Express Lunch Box
Elementary school kids aren’t the only ones who deserve a fun lunch box! While your tween may be so over the superhero and princess designs, I bet they’ll love this Hogwarts Express Lunch Box! I would proudly pack my afternoon meal in it! The insulated box includes a snack and a 17 oz. water bottle.
14. Slytherin House Backpack
Poor Slytherin, they get such a bad rap! While I’m a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw girl myself, our Slytherin friends deserve to go back to school in style, too. Grab this Slytherin House Backpack and show off your house pride! It’s also available with the crests from the other houses.
15. Harry Potter Pencil Case
Speaking of back to school, grab this unisex Harry Potter pencil case for all those quills and other essentials! The Poly Cotton Canvas is durable enough to hold up throughout the entire school year, and roomy enough to use as a makeup bag, too.
Fun Accessories & Other Gift Ideas
These Harry Potter gifts don’t really fit into any of the other categories, but they’re still perfect for any fan!
16. Harry Potter Magnetic Page Clips
While some of the Harry Potter merchandise ideas on this list are kind of budget-busters, these magnetic paper clips cost under $10. Tweens can use them to mark important pages in their text books as they study! Comes with Harry, Hagrid, Hedwig, and Dobby in chibi-style figures.
17. Honeydukes Mug
Warm up on a cold winter’s night with a rich and delicious hot butter beer in a Honeydukes mug! The oversized mug is also perfect for hot cocoa or Ramen noodles! The only downside? It’s not microwave or dishwasher safe.
18. Remote Control Wand
This clever Harry Potter remote control wand lets your tween control the TV, DVD player, or pretty much anything that works with a universal remote. As long as your device has an infrared remote, it should work. Also, did you know that, for every $10 you spend in their store, BoxLunch gives a meal to someone in need through Feeding America?
I never heard of PopSockets until my son asked for one for his new phone. They’re really kind of neat! I want this Ravenclaw PopSocket because it’s just so pretty, but you can grab one for Gryffindor, Slythrin, or Hufflepuff, too.
20. Harry Potter Bedding Sets
For fans that want to go all out and create an entire Hogwarts-inspired room, grab this Harry Potter bedding set! Everything is sold separately, so you can pick and choose the pieces that you need. At the least, I’d grab the comforter and the pillow cases.
These Harry Potter gift ideas should give you a good start to checking off your holiday shopping to-do list! They’re also perfect for birthdays, back to school gifts, and more.
